Hell's MasterCat
A downloadable game
Game proposal made for the second semester of the college of games at Fatec São Caetano do Sul - Antonio Russo
On our journey we will be with Simya, a little alchemist kitten who loves to cook, who has decided to open his own restaurant. During his day Simya receives several eccentric customers who ask for potion recipes, which he must complete the day's 8 potions as little as possible.

Hell’s Master Cat's main enemy is luck: you depend on Simya's helper to drop the correct ingredient to make all the recipes in the shortest time possible. Scoring is definitely not your concern here.
A game inspired by Overcooked and Potion Craft
- The speed of ingredients will increase according to the playing time;
- The player will not be able to interact with another ingredient if they are already holding one;
- Adding an ingredient incorrectly spoils the potion (but you still get points, after all, there is a customer for everything);
- Recipes start cooking only when the last of the three ingredients has been added;
- There is the possibility that instead of an ingredient, the helper plays the "Chuchulo", leaving the player stunned.
History and Art
• Inspiration for game art was in Disney cartoons and games like Farm Ville 2. Game art was done in two ways:
> The Menu, Characters and Ingredients were made in 2D.
> The game's scenery was made in 3D in Blender and rendered to a static 2D image.
- The biggest difficulty was maintaining the aesthetic similarity between characters and environment, so that the 2D would also look like a 3D OBJECT, so we pay a lot of attention to the light and shadow work of the digital handcrafted arts.
- The ingredients were inspired by real fruits and, because they are colored, they were outlined in white to be able to stand out better in space, and provide better visualization by the player during the game.
Some curiosities:
- Symia means Alchemy in Turkish
- The duck originally didn't have a name, so since he has a stingray on his head we named it Claudia in honor of Claudia Raia (the name of a famous person in Brazil)
- The Character Chuchulo, who despite not being a character he became a dear to me and Niko, was inspired by the work “The Call of Cthulhu and another short story - by Love Craft”, but in a cuter version.
